Special education is a basic way to promote the all-round development of people with disabilities and help them integrate into society. The development of special education is an important part of promoting educational equity and realizing educational modernization. In recent years, the Municipal CPPCC has taken the promotion of the development of special education as an important focus of fulfilling its duties for the people and improving people’s livelihood and well-being. It has actively consulted and made suggestions, contributed ideas and efforts, and guided all sectors of society to pay attention to the development of special education.
Recently, the Municipal CPPCC went to the Municipal School for the Deaf and Dumb and the Municipal Special Education School to send love and warmth to the special children here. Seeing the children grow up happily under the careful care of the teachers, everyone expressed high respect for the faculty and staff of the special education school, and encouraged them to continue to carry forward the spirit of selfless dedication and contribute more wisdom and strength to the cause of special education. Subsequently, Chen Wuhua, a member of the Hong Kong Group of the Municipal CPPCC, sent love materials and condolence money to special children, encouraging the majority of special children to grow up healthily, establish lofty ideals, bravely face the difficulties and challenges in life, and give back to the society with practical actions.
The Municipal Education Industry CPPCC Member Studio also jointly organized a training activity for key special education teachers in Shantou City with the Municipal Education Bureau. Through special lectures, observation and learning, etc., it provided training for special education schools, deaf-mute schools and special education specialists and teaching and research staff from various districts and counties to enhance the professional mental health capabilities of special education teachers and promote the equitable and integrated development of special education.
