Guangdong’s top 100 private enterprises, 40 from Shenzhen on the list

On October 29, the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce officially released the “Top 100 Private Enterprises in Guangdong Province in 2024”, “Top 100 Private Enterprises in Guangdong Manufacturing in 2024”, and “Top 50 Private Enterprises in Guangdong Service Industry in 2024” series of lists.

According to reports, the list is voluntarily submitted by enterprises and is based on the company’s operating income in 2023 as the basic standard, based on the company’s accounting yearbook, and sorted by the relevant departments. Among them, the entry threshold for the “Top 100 Private Enterprises in Guangdong Province in 2024” list is 13.308 billion yuan. Among the top 100 private enterprises in Guangdong, there are 4 companies with revenue exceeding 400 billion yuan, 12 companies with revenue exceeding 100 billion yuan, and 63 companies with revenue exceeding 20 billion yuan. The top ten are: Huawei (704.174 billion yuan), Tencent (609.015 billion yuan), BYD (602.315 billion yuan), Vanke (465.739 billion yuan), Midea (373.710 billion yuan), SF Express (258.409 billion yuan), Gree (205.018 billion yuan), TCL Technology (174.367 billion yuan), TCL Industry (120.322 billion yuan), and Digital China (119.624 billion yuan).

In terms of regional distribution, there are 40 companies in Shenzhen, 22 in Guangzhou, 17 in Foshan, 5 in Dongguan, 3 each in Huizhou, Maoming, and Zhuhai, 2 in Zhongshan, and 1 each in Jiangmen, Shantou, Yunfu, Zhanjiang, and Zhaoqing. In terms of industry distribution, there are 55 manufacturing companies, 18 wholesale and retail companies, 5 business services companies, 4 real estate companies, 3 Internet and related services companies, 3 housing construction companies, 2 software information technology services companies, 2 monetary and financial services companies, 1 comprehensive company, 1 gas production and supply company, 1 technology promotion and application service company, 1 civil engineering and construction company, 1 other service company, 1 insurance company, 1 postal service company, and 1 animal husbandry company.

As of August 2024, Shenzhen has a total of 4.326 million business entities, including 2.559 million private enterprises, and its total number and entrepreneurial density continue to rank first in the country; this year, 298 new specialized and innovative “little giants” and 29 manufacturing single champions were added, and the increase ranked first among cities in the country; a total of 27 Shenzhen companies were listed in the “Top 500 Private Enterprises in China in 2024”, accounting for 54% of the province, fully demonstrating the strong endogenous driving force and potential of Shenzhen’s private economy.
