On the afternoon of October 28, the Green Hydrogen-based Energy Forum with the theme of “Exploring the application of hydrogen-based energy and enabling green and low-carbon development” was held in Shenzhen International Low-Carbon City. About 150 representatives from the government, universities, research institutions and enterprises gathered together to discuss the application prospects and challenges of hydrogen-based energy.
The forum was guided by the Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission, hosted by Shenzhen Energy Group Co., Ltd., and undertaken by Shenzhen International Energy and Environmental Technology Promotion Center (ITPC). It is an important part of the 2024 Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality Forum and Shenzhen International Low-Carbon City Forum.
In his speech, Li Yingfeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shenzhen Energy Group, pointed out that hydrogen energy, as a clean, efficient and sustainable form of energy, is receiving widespread attention from the world. As one of the world’s largest energy consumers, China has incorporated the development of the hydrogen energy industry into its national strategy. By jointly discussing the application of hydrogen-based energy, it will provide more new perspectives and new ideas for the development of the industry, promote regional coordinated development and industrial cooperation, and work together to build a safe and efficient hydrogen-based energy supply system.
During the forum, many industry experts and corporate representatives shared their observations on the hydrogen energy industry. Zhang Jinbin, deputy chief engineer of the State Grid Planning and Design Institute, and Jiang Minhua, chief expert of the China Electricity Council and secretary-general of the Hydrogen Energy Branch of the China Electricity Council, delivered keynote speeches on policy guidance, technological breakthroughs and industrial collaboration, and proposed new ideas for the development of hydrogen energy.
Representatives from DNV, Yantai Longyuan Electric Power Technology Co., Ltd., Hong Kong Hydrogen Energy Alliance, Shenzhen Energy North Energy Holdings Co., Ltd., China Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd., and EY Greater China participated in the high-end dialogue session of the day, and introduced in detail the full industrial chain application of hydrogen energy from upstream to downstream, and shared many advanced cases at home and abroad, covering industry planning, design, construction, production and certification consulting and other aspects.
