According to reports, in September, Foshan’s import and export through general trade was 31.11 billion yuan, an increase of 6.6%, accounting for 79.6% of Foshan’s total foreign trade import and export value in the same period (the same below). During the same period, the import and export volume through bonded logistics was 220 million yuan, an increase of 0.01%. Overall, the foreign trade structure continues to be optimized.
State-owned enterprises show their vitality. In September, Foshan’s private enterprises’ import and export volume was 24.46 billion yuan, accounting for 62.6%. During the same period, the import and export of foreign-invested enterprises was 14.48 billion yuan, an increase of 5%, accounting for 37%. The import and export of state-owned enterprises was 110 million yuan, an increase of 58.7%.
Foshan’s import and export to Europe and the United States increased. In September, Foshan’s imports and exports to the United States were 5.98 billion yuan, an increase of 19.7%; to the European Union, its imports and exports were 4.65 billion yuan, an increase of 12.5%; to Latin America, its imports and exports were 3.08 billion yuan, an increase of 17.8%; and to 17 countries in the Middle East, its imports and exports were 2.53 billion yuan. , an increase of 6.5%; imports and exports to South Korea were 1.34 billion yuan, an increase of 30.2%.
Exports of mechanical and electrical products have shown significant growth momentum. In September, Foshan exported 18.49 billion yuan of mechanical and electrical products, an increase of 7.6%, accounting for 62.3% of Foshan’s total export value in the same period. Among them, the export of household appliances was 5.92 billion yuan, an increase of 6.9%, and the export of general machinery and equipment was 1.57 billion yuan, an increase of 6.5%. During the same period, furniture exports were 1.48 billion yuan, an increase of 6.4%, and textile and clothing exports were 1.37 billion yuan, an increase of 3.6%.
Imports of some primary raw materials maintained growth. In September, Foshan imported primary-shaped plastics worth 580 million yuan, an increase of 1.4%; imported sawn timber worth 320 million yuan, an increase of 24.5%; and imported nickel ore and its concentrates worth 180 million yuan, a significant increase of 562.4%. During the same period, the imported flat-panel display modules were 700 million yuan, an increase of 15.3%; the imported integrated circuits were 450 million yuan, an increase of 26.6%; and the imported automobile parts were 170 million yuan, an increase of 34.9%.
