From October 28 to 29, the 13th Third Executive Committee Meeting of the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce (General Chamber of Commerce) and the Zhanjiang Investment Promotion Conference for Private Enterprises to Support the “Hundred Million Project” were held in Zhanjiang. The meeting thoroughly studied and implemented the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, conscientiously implemented the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 13th Provincial Party Committee, summarized the work, deployed tasks, and guided the majority of private economic people to strengthen their confidence, stabilize their expectations, actively serve the overall situation, and work together to promote the high-quality development of Guangdong’s private economy.
During the meeting, a symposium on soliciting opinions on the “Private Economy Promotion Law of the People’s Republic of China (Draft for Comments)” was held, a series of lists of “Top 100 Private Enterprises in Guangdong Province in 2024” were released, and a Zhanjiang Investment Promotion Conference for Excellent Private Enterprises to Support the “Hundred Million Project” was held. The non-sovereign business of international financial organizations was promoted, and the investment environment of Zhanjiang City and the investment projects of the “Hundred Million Project” were inspected on the spot. The famous and high-quality agricultural products in 15 cities in eastern, western and northern Guangdong were displayed and promoted.
In 2024, the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce will continue to carry out the survey and ranking of the “Top 100 Private Enterprises in Guangdong Province”. The three lists of “Top 100 Private Enterprises in Guangdong Province in 2024”, “Top 100 Private Enterprises in Manufacturing Industry in Guangdong Province in 2024” and “Top 50 Private Enterprises in Service Industry in Guangdong Province in 2024” were produced by voluntary application of enterprises and based on the annual accounting table of enterprises.
According to reports, the entry threshold for the “Top 100 Private Enterprises in Guangdong Province in 2024” is 13.308 billion yuan, of which 4 companies have an operating income of more than 400 billion yuan in 2023, 12 companies have an operating income of more than 100 billion yuan, and 63 companies have an operating income of more than 20 billion yuan.
In terms of regional distribution, there are 40 companies in Shenzhen, 22 companies in Guangzhou, 17 companies in Foshan, 5 companies in Dongguan, 3 companies each in Huizhou, Maoming and Zhuhai, 2 companies in Zhongshan, and 1 company each in Jiangmen, Shantou, Yunfu, Zhanjiang and Zhaoqing.
